M-FORGE® COMPOSITE launches its innovative processing technology AERO Series for ultra-lightweight hard-shells helmet constructions

“M-FORGE® COMPOSITE Technology is a multi-textile Series built with different yarns and constructions and with different physical characteristics to deliver the required structural design for each typology of product and/or market segment”
Following in their tradition of pioneering innovation in protection and comfort, MAT GROUP™ has successfully launched at EICMA 2019 its revolutionary processing technology for ultra-lightweight hard-shells helmet constructions, which has been released under the name AERO Series.
After enjoying already some years of success in the global market, and after significant R&D and production investments, M-FORGE® has demonstrated again this year that is ready to be applied to a wide range of hard-shells and semi-rigid structures for applications in sports, professional and personal protective equipment.
Offering three variants of textile technology (M-FORGE® TALISMAN, M-FORGE® VANGUARD and M-FORGE® PEGASUS Series) to further fine tune weight reduction, stiffness and impact resilience, M-FORGE® COMPOSITE is actually giving the versatility to meet the most demanding needs in the market.

M-FORGE® AERO SERIES
The new M-FORGE® AERO process utilizes M-FORGE® material series VANGUARD and PEGASUS and brings in increased ductility and tenacity when compared to conventional in-mould plastic shells or traditional composite shells.
In addition, the use of M-FORGE® AERO technology can help reduce the density of the EPS up to 30% while maintaining the capability of the helmet to absorb impact energy, thus allowing a further weight reduction and comfort improvement.
